Present course offerings can be found below. If the program you are interested in is not listed, then we are not offering it at this time. 

Once you successfully register, your name will be added to our Member List and you will begin to receive pool bulletins regularly. We do not issue membership cards; consequently, once you receive a pool bulletin via email, you may begin to use the facility. Please see one of the lifeguards on duty upon entering, so that they can check that your membership is current.

1. The pool will be available for rent in three-month intervals broken up into the following groups: September-November, December-February, March-May and June-August. 
2. Permit requests may be submitted at any time throughout the year, but will only be acted on one to two months prior to the rental period.
3. Clarkstown Central School District-sanctioned events (i.e. Physical Education, Community Swims, Athletics) and pre-approved weekend swim meets will take precedence over any permit. 
4. Pool use will be awarded in hierarchal order based upon an organization's in-District residency number. This means that the organization that proves to have the highest number of in-District residents on their team will receive the highest priority for pool use during a three-month rental cycle.
5. Any organization that would like to rent the pool is encouraged to share their requested use with Dr. Serra via email. In order to receive confirmation on dates and times to include in a submitted permit, this request should be made as soon as possible and prior to submitting a permit.

1. Swimmers are not permitted on the pool deck or in the pool unless a certified lifeguard is present and on the deck.
    
2. All bathers are required to shower before entering, and are encouraged to shower upon exiting, the pool.
    
3. Urinating, expectorating or blowing your nose in the pool is prohibited.
    
4. Individuals with open sores/lesions or who are suffering from diarrheal discharge are not permitted in the pool until their condition(s) has healed or been corrected.
    
5. Spectators are not permitted on the pool deck without appropriate permission.
    
6. Persons suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be denied access to the pool and all adjacent areas.
    
7. Unauthorized equipment (i.e. rafts, masks, fins, snorkels, etc.) will not be allowed in the pool or pool area unless approved by the director of aquatics. Only Coast Guard-approved floatation devices (i.e. lifesaving vests) are permitted in the pool when approved for use by the director.
    
8. The pool will be separated into two areas, deep and shallow, by a floating buoy line or pool bulkhead. The deep end may also be divided further into two areas, one for diving and one for swimming, by a floating buoy line or lane line.
    
9. All bathers entering the pool for the first time must be assessed by a certified lifeguard to determine their level of swimming proficiency. Bathers deemed as shallow-water swimmers must remain in the shallow end of the pool, until they can successfully prove that they can competently swim in the deep end or are accompanied by a certified lifeguard during a teaching segment.
    
10. Swimming under or diving from the bulkhead is not permitted.
     
11. Running is not permitted on the pool deck or in the locker room.
     
12. Diving is only permitted from the deep-end wall where the starting blocks are positioned. Diving is prohibited from the three remaining pool walls (side pool walls and shallow end). Only competitive swimmers who are instructed in proper technique will be permitted to use starting platforms in competitive practices or meets.
     
13. The diving boards are to be used only by individuals adequately trained or who are being supervised by a trained adult in diving.
     
14. Food and/or glass bottles is not permitted on the pool deck at any time.
     
15. Eyeglasses are not to be worn in the pool, unless safety goggles are worn.
     
16. An accident report must be filled out and submitted to the director of aquatics within a 24-hour period for any individual requiring medical treatment.
     
17. The pool deck shall be clear of all equipment and articles, and must be appropriately cleaned after each use.
     
18. Diapers and infants not toilet trained are not permitted in the pool, unless approved by the director.
     
19. Proper swim attire is required at all times. Cutoff/rolled-up pants or any such clothing (i.e. loose-fitting shirts) determined as unsafe or inappropriate by the acting lifeguard is not permitted.
     
20. All bathers must exit the pool during an electrical storm/electric loss, any emergency response and when vomit, diarrheal/stool/bodily discharge is present in or around the pool until the lifeguard re-opens it. The use of landline phones and showers, and contact with conductible items is prohibited during an electrical storm.
